We aim to make returns straightforward while staying compliant with UK consumer law. The summary below is specific to our store and avoids any clauses that don’t apply.
1) Made-to-Order / Bespoke Items
Most of our beds are made to your specification (e.g., size, fabric, storage, headboard). These are not eligible for change-of-mind returns under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (Reg 28(1)(b)).
If a made-to-order item is faulty or damaged, see section 3.
2) Eligible Returns (Non-Custom Items)
Where an item is not made to order (for example certain accessories clearly marked as non-custom), you may cancel and return within 14 days of delivery, provided it is:
- Unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition; and
- Returned with all components and instructions.
Unless the item is faulty, return postage is the customer’s responsibility. Original delivery costs and any optional delivery upgrades are non-refundable.
Mattresses & hygiene-sealed items: once opened/used, these are not returnable unless faulty.
3) Damaged or Faulty Items
Please inspect on delivery. If there is visible transit damage, ask the driver to note it.
Report damage or faults as soon as possible (ideally within 48 hours, and no later than 14 days) with photos/video.
Where goods are faulty, we will repair, replace, or refund in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
4) How to Start a Return
Email info@luxurybedstore.co.uk or call 0800 001 6194 with:
- Order number
- Item(s) you wish to return
- Reason and supporting photos (if damaged/faulty)
We’ll confirm eligibility, provide a return authorisation and the return address. Please don’t send items back without authorisation.
5) Refunds
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method once returned goods are received and checked.
- We aim to process refunds within 14 days of receipt.
- We may deduct amounts for missing parts or signs of use where applicable (non-faulty returns only).
6) Cancellations (Before Delivery)
- Non-custom items: you may cancel before dispatch—contact us promptly.
- Made-to-order items: cancellation may be possible only before production begins. Once in production, cancellation isn’t available.
7) Exclusions
- Made-to-order/bespoke goods (except where faulty)
- Opened/used mattresses and other hygiene-sealed products (except where faulty)
- Items returned without original packaging or not in resalable condition (non-faulty returns)
8) This Policy & Your Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
